THURSDAY night’s episode of Married At First Sight Australia on E4 ended with Bec Zacharia storming off from husband Danny Hewitt after accusing him of “staring at another woman all day”.
Viewers saw the pair get married earlier this week and in tonight’s instalment, the two were seen enjoying their honeymoon in Fiji.
At the beginning of the episode, the new couple individually told the cameras they were struggling to forge a connection with one another.
Later on, as they had dinner at an outdoor restaurant, she dropped the bombshell: “Do you want to double take on the girl you’ve been staring at all day?”
He looked around bewildered as he asked: “What one? Are you joking? I don’t even know what to say to that.”
Danny continued: “When did I supposedly look at her?”
She explained: “The girl that just ran past has been in your eyeline all day, you watched her run past our villa this morning, you watched her at breakfast, triple take then.”
Protesting his innocence, he expressed: “Bec, I’m not looking at other women, that’s just as simple as that.
“If I look at that palm tree four times, does that mean I’m looking at that palm tree, do you know what I mean?
“I don’t even know the girl you’re talking about, so that’s crazy. You’re making me scared to look anywhere.”
Growing increasingly fed up with the situation, Bec stormed off from the table and walked into the bathroom and producers asked her if she was okay as she said she was “over it”.
After composing herself, Bec returned to the table but things were awkward as they sat in silence.
The two attempted to move past the situation as they were introduced to the ‘Honeymoon Box’, where they asked each other questions about how they were feeling so far in their relationship.
Danny asked the first question: “Based on what you know about me so far, what’s the most endearing and most annoying trait?”
She told him that he was one of the most kindest and funniest humans she’s been around before moving onto his annoying trait.
Bec cuttingly said: “Probably that you’re just like on your honeymoon with me and you’re just staring at another woman all day.”
Appearing visibly annoyed, Danny moved on and told her he liked the fact that she’s family orientated.
For the annoying trait, he commented: “You make up that I look at imaginary women because I haven’t even seen one. That was pretty annoying and frustrating to be honest because I don’t even know who you’re referring to.”
“I take it, I receive it, I’ve got nothing to say about it,” Bec added.
He then threw out another bombshell as he revealed he didn’t think there was any sexual chemistry between them and told her he didn’t think she was ready for the experiment.
Deciding enough was enough, she stormed off for good this time and told producers: “Does he think he’s David Beckham. He obviously thinks I’m absolutely hideous.”
