The happy news came after Matthew popped the question on holiday last December.

But Sharon has now revealed she is suffering with pregnancy-related sickness.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sharon shared a close up of her face and wrote alongside it: “I thought ‘morning sickness’ was meant to be over after the first trimester, so why have I spent my evening with my head in the toilet?”

In December, Sharon revealed: “When I thought I was going to be spending my 30th birthday weekend with my head in a toilet…this isn’t quite what I had in mind!

“Baby Gaffka-Torbitt is on their way.”

She shared a slew of professionally-taken photos to announce the news.

The first photo saw her and her fiance reading from a newspaper which had the scan on the front page.

“Due July 2026,” the headline read on the front page above the scan.

On December 12, 2025, Sharon and fellow political activist Matthew revealed they were engaged.

The couple stood in front of the snowy Swiss Alps and she wiped away tears, as he joked in the clip: “You’re going to ruin the photos!”

Captioning her video today, former beauty queen Sharon wrote: “Decided to pick up a rock when we were 2091m above sea level.”

The TV star only unveiled her romance with Matthew in March last year, having previously kept quiet about her private life since her Love Island days.

Sharon shot to fame on Love Island in 2021 when she had hoped to find a boyfriend in the seventh series of the dating show.
