However, the relationship challenge show is completely made up – as is the row – and is actually part of new ITV series Celebrity Sabotage.

Emma and Matt are tasked by celebrity saboteurs Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Sam Thompson and GK Barry to join one couple in a hot tub and ruin their date night.

The team tell the couple they must stage an argument and try and encourage the couple to leave the hot tub.

If they are successful they will win £5000 to the prize pot.

Emma and Matt dutifully head to the hot tub after the day of filming Couple Goals is over, and join the two contestants in the hot tub.

Sam tells Matt to splash Emma, before he does it a second time and she pretends to be upset by it.

As she puts her hands to her eyes, she tells Matt in a tearful voice: “You make me feel really stupid.”

Matt replies: “I’m only mucking around” before one of the contestants jumps in and tells him: “I know but it was a bit of a forceful flick Matt.”

Guest saboteur Olivia Attwood can’t believe it as she stands alongside the others in their secret bunker and says: “He’s trying to mediate!”

Back at the hot tub, Matt apologises but Emma glares at him and says: “No you’re not sorry” before forcefully shooting water at him.

The contestants look unbelievably awkward to be caught in the middle of the ‘row’ and ask: “Would you like a minute in the hot tub alone?”

Matt replies: “We might need it.”

The two men then get out as Matt thanks them, while the saboteurs cheer wildly from their hiding place.

While Matt and Emma were successful with this challenge, viewers will have to wait and see if the contestants realise something is amiss and rumble what’s really going on.

But if they don’t, they are in with the chance of winning up to £30,000.

Matt and Emma aren’t the only TV stars who will front fake TV shows on Celebrity Sabotage.

Rylan Clark, Sara Davies and Claire Balding are just some of the other famous faces who will help trick the contestants in a bid to help them win the cash each week.

Celebrity Sabotage starts on Saturday March 21 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
