I used to only fork out for designer perfume but found a £12 M&S dupe that smells exactly like £170 Santal 33

MANY people love designer perfume – but the price tag can be off-putting if you run out of your latest bottle.

One bargain hunter shared how she found a “dupe” for a £170 scent in her local M&S, which thankfully only cost £12.

Alice, who posts under @alicedulka, shared how she was delighted to discover the retailer’s Breathe Eau de Parfum.

She told followers: “I have genuinely found the best perfume in M&S. So it’s this new range.”

The beauty fan said the perfume reminds her of Le Labo SANTAL 33, which has racked up a cult following among shoppers.

Santal 33 is one of those ultra-chic fragrances that’s loved by A-listers and fashion insiders.

SPRING STAPLE

Shoppers praise M&S linen dress that’s ‘flattering’ & good for warmer months

It’s woody, musky and ridiculously addictive and has been hailed as “the sort of perfume that makes people stop you in the street to ask what you’re wearing”.

With the pricey version costing £170, shoppers would save £158 with the M&S version.

Alice continued: “It is £12 and it’s got notes of eucalyptus, bergamot, thyme and something that is also in the LA Labo Santal 33 that used to be my favourite perfume ever.

“It is actually incredible. And it is £12.

“I don’t usually get a non designer perfume as well.

“I like to just get the real thing, but this is so freaking.

“I don’t know how they make it so strong for only £12.”

Many people seemed impressed by her beauty find, and rushed to the comments to give their views.

One said: “Omg saving this so I don’t forget this sounds unreal!!”

A second person, clearly a fan of the perfume, joked: “Stop telling people! Il never get my hands on it again!”

However, a third commented: “It doesn’t last gotta keep spraying it on.”

It’s not the only bargain perfume that’s making headlines.

A TikToker recently revealed her high street perfume that “stops people in the street”.

She revealed it to be a Zara dupe that’ll save shoppers £135.

And for those that want to bag a luxury home scent for less, Aldi has just the thing.

You can make your living room smell like designer perfume thanks to a cheap buy from Aldi, that’s “identical” to the original.

An  Aldi shopper was left happy when browsing the aisles in her local store, she stumbled across a gorgeous spray for just £1.99.

Why Everyone Is Loving M&S

Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale reveals to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explains:

“M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there are so many good products to be excited about.

“A brand once known for its ‘frumpy fashion’ – that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high-street stores for womenswear.

“Its handbag range in particular is super-strong with the brand selling way more than predicted, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price.

“The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year. This comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but also how easy they are to wear.

“Price is also a big factor – you will be able to get many good-quality pieces for under £30.

“After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection, I can reveal there are so many more amazing pieces that will drop over the next few months.

“Think leopard-print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year after year.”
