KATIE Price’s kids Princess and Junior Andre have been captured talking about their mum’s ‘shock’ engagement – and being blindsided by the news.
Opening up about the big announcement, Princess, 18, and Junior Andre can be seen having a private conversation about their mum’s jaw-dropping move.
Appearing together on ITV2 reality show The Princess Diaries, the siblings revealed their true reaction after finding out in a group message.
Princess explains to her brother: “The message mum sent on the family WhatsApp about her being engaged. I literally responded O.M.G.”
Junior replied: “Yeah, I think I put, ‘I’m so confused, what bombshell?’”
Junior tells the camera in another scene: “At this point I don’t know what to think.
“I don’t know the guy, so that is shocking. It is, of course, it is.
“If anyone’s mum got engaged to someone you don’t know, you’re gonna be like, what the hell?”
He tells Princess: “Obviously, I would liked to have known what’s been going on, what’s the lead up but everyone lives their own lives and has their own things.
“Mum is not a bad person at all, she’s a great mum.”
Princess agrees: “Mum is very impulsive, I just want her to be happy.”
Princess tells the camera: “I mean, that is impulse on a whole other level.
“I don’t know anything about him, I just know he proposed to my mum within knowing her for a week, so…”
Junior tells Princess: “If this guy can treat mum respectfully, that’s all I care about.”
“I do think though that it is a bit crazy, but it’s not surprising because it is mum.”
Junior states: “Mum is crazy, but that’s just mum.”
Princess adds: “Now we’re older, we can actually just talk about it and we can actually discuss how we feel.
“I think we’ve, in a way, trauma bonded, that we’ve grown up in a lot of difficult situations.
“We’ve always been there for each other in that sense.”
Junior replies: “And I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
He concludes to camera: “Growing up, me and Princess have had great times, but we’ve also really had it hard…
“But going through what we have gone through has definitely made us stronger people.”
TV star Katie, 47, appeared via FaceTime as The Princess Diaries returned for a second series last night.
The Princess Diaries, which launched on ITV last year, follows the life of Princess as she carves out a career in showbiz, and featured her dad Peter Andre, stepmum Emily MacDonagh and brother Junior.
Katie was noticeably absent from the show and said she was banned from filming at the request of Princesses management, who also manage Peter.
But in January a source told The Sun that Katie would be involved in the series this time round.
