ONLY FOOLS and Horses stars are working on reuniting on a top-secret new project, one of the stars has confirmed.
The beloved BBC series hasn’t been on screen since 2003 – but it’s clear the cast members are still very firmly bonded.
Now Gwyneth Strong, who played Cassandra, wife of Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) after joining Only Fools in 1989, is coming up with something that will reunite her with co-star Tessa Peake-Jones.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Gwyneth said the pair are “great friends”, with Tessa often visiting her in East Sussex, where she lives with her actor husband Jesse Birdsall.
“We’re really close. At the moment, I’m writing a television proposal for her and me, so I’ll wake up refreshed from my nap and work on that,” she teased.
“I can’t say much about it yet, but the show has elements of experiences Tessa and I have had throughout our very long friendship.”

Tessa played Raquel, the wife of leading star Del Boy (David Jason) on the series, joining the sitcom in 1988.
The show tracked the ups-and-downs of the wheeler-dealer Trotter brothers as they tried to make their fortune with dodgy dealings in London’s East End.
They eventually succeeded – albeit in a way they were not expecting.
While the show officially ended in 1993, it did return for a string of Christmas specials in 1996, 2001 and 2003.
It remains regarded as one of the greatest British sitcoms of all time.
Since appearing as Cassandra, Gwyneth has appeared in episodes of Casualty, Doctors and New Tricks.
In 2016, she had a stint on EastEnders as Geraldine Clough, a female darts player who clashes with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) when a tournament comes to the Queen Vic.
Gwyneth married Jesse Birdsall – who is known for starring on Footballers’ Wives as manager Roger Webb, and as Fraser Black in Hollyoaks – in 2000, and together they have two children, who are both now adults.
She now volunteers for childrens’ charities Childline and the NSPCC.
