But if you’re feeling the pinch and, like millions, can’t justify forking out £150 on the Spring must-have shoes, a Love Island winner has revealed a game-changing solution.
Kai Fagan (@kaifagan_), who won the series in 2023 with Sanam Harrinanan, took to TikTok to share how he got the branded clogs for a fraction of the price.
The 27-year-old, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last year, said that despite wanting the trendy footwear “for time”, he simply refused to spend the eye-watering sum “on a pair of flip-flops”.
Kai then told his TikTok followers that he stumbled across a site where thrifty fashionistas can find legitimate brand shoes for less – Ex-Display on Schuh.
Just like the name suggests, these are shoes that the retailer has used for display – and while “some products here will have scuffs, discolouration and other individual quirks”, they are going for a bargain deal, with pairs starting from just £7 in the ladies’ section.
The site, which also offers men’s and kids’ footwear, features plenty of well-known brands, including Adidas, Crocs, Converse, New Balance, Reebok – and more.

Kai, who managed to snap up the trending clogs for £62, saved close to a whopping £90 thanks to shopping on the cut-price site.
Showing off his brand new purchase, the Love Island winner said: “They even come in the box, so it’s all official.
“They look completely fine,” he said, showing the sole, as well as the top that didn’t appear to have any marks.
“I’m gonna take then £62 ones all day, every day,” said Kai who was clearly very chuffed with his bargain purchase.
If you’re not too big on the clogs, the Ex-Display site also offers different Birkenstock footwear, including the trendy strappy sandals for under £70 (RRP £105) and slip-on boots for £62.99 down from an eye-watering £170.
Posted four days ago, the clip has taken the internet by storm, racking up a staggering 100k views, with many racing to comments.
“Not me just going on and grabbing uggs!” wrote one viewer.
“Game-changer,” another chimed in.
“Bargain,” someone agreed.
However, not everyone was entirely convinced to grab themselves a pair, as one sceptic said: “Think about how many sweaty feet/socks have been in them tho.”
The couple, who returned to their normal jobs, got engaged in 2024 after Kai popped the question in a surprise proposal on a punt.
Kai shared the special moment in snaps posted on social media when Sanam was pictured open-mouthed.
He wrote on Instagram at the time: “Introducing the next Mrs Fagan.
“Beautiful, Caring, Loving and Smart are just some of the words that describe you.
“I love loving you, I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
