MARTIN ODEGAARD’s dad, Hans Erik, has gone 41 games unbeaten at Norwegian side Lillestrom, earning promotion along the way.
Hired in January last year, Odegaard Sr has won a staggering 36 matches since taking over.

In that time his side have stormed the second division, winning the title last year as invincible champions and ending the season 25 POINTS ahead of their nearest challengers.
In 2025, Lillestrom only conceded 18 league goals in their 30 games, winning 30 and drawing just five.
It is the first time in the league’s history that a team has gone undefeated.
Lillestrom scored 87 times and had almost triple the goal difference of runners up Start.
It’s the second top level senior position for Odegaard, 52, who managed 131 matches at Sandefjord, where he spent three years as a player in the mid-2000s before retiring.
Having worked as an assistant and youth coach – including at Real Madrid, where son Martin moved in 2015 – he has impressed in his homeland.
Hans Erik was a player at Stromsgodset – Martin’s first club 20 years later – but is now making his name as a coach.
The Eliteserien season does not begin until next weekend with Lillestrom back in the top flight after just one year away.

Among his results are a 5-0, 6-0, 4-1, 7-1, 4-0 (twice), and 5-1 (x3) win.
They go to Aalesund in the first game of the new campaign before hosting Kristiansund the week after.
