
A TEENAGE girl is fighting for her life in hospital after crashing into a bus while riding on an e-scooter with her friend.
The two pals, aged 13 and 14, were rushed to hospital and the 13 year-old girl is still being treated for life-threatening head five days later.
The 14-year-old girl was previously discharged following the crash at 7.50pm on St Paul’s Street, Walsall.
West Midlands Police have made enquiries into the smash.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We’re appealing for witnesses or people with information to come forward following a collision in Walsall involving two teenage girls on an e-scooter and a bus.
“The collision took place on Tuesday evening, at around 7.50pm, on St Paul’s Street.
“Two teenage girls, aged 14 and 13, who were riding on the e-scooter, were taken to hospital following the collision.
“The 13-year-old girl has potentially life-threatening head injuries and remains in hospital for treatment. The 14-year-old girl has been discharged.
“The bus driver remained at the scene. Our enquiries continue.”
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Sadly, a teenage girl has been seriously injured in this collision.
“We would appeal to witnesses or anyone who may have information including dash cam footage to please contact us.”
