ENGLAND’S Six Nations campaign has not gone to plan – and they travel to Rome in search of redemption this year.
Steve Borthwick comes into the final stretch of the 2026 Six Nations under immense pressure, as a tournament that looked set for a Grand Slam looks closer to a Wooden Spoon for the Red Rose.

After an emphatic win over Wales to start the season, Ireland and Scotland got the better of Borthwick’s side in the two weeks that followed.
Henry Arundell was sent off for two yellow card offences against Scotland, a contentious decision which had fans split as to whether or not the first decision was a yellow card.
The Red Rose were also given two yellow cards against Ireland, as Freddie Steward and Henry Pollock were sent to the bin, so England have not got the best of referees in this tournament.
