A local said: “We were woken by armed police climbing fences. Officers stormed upstairs and you could see them bringing a man to the sitting room. He appeared to be handcuffed.

“There were at least eight to ten unmarked police cars and three unmarked vans.

“Then uniformed police turned up in marked vans.”

Police said two men, aged 40 and 55, were held in the borough of Barnet.

Elsewhere, a man, 52, was arrested at an £800,000 house in Watford.

The fourth suspect, aged 22, was arrested in Harrow.
