Neil Alexander’s hope was in winning form here two runs ago when scoring with something up his sleeve. He was fine over this trip and enjoyed the soft ground. He then went up in class at Musselburgh 34 days ago when putting in a solid effort to finish third against some useful rivals. The going was a bit quicker there which may not have been ideal. This drop in class and return to testing conditions can do the trick.
TED THE THIEF (4.43 Exeter, nb)
He had an impressive 13 lengths in hand when winning at Taunton last month and a 7lb rise in the weights looks fair enough.
JAMINSKA (3.10 Exeter, treble)
Has been holding her own in strong company and takes a big drop in class here after a break. She looks hard to beat if showing her best form.
ERIC CARMEN (3.00 Leicester, Lucky 15)
Has won three of his past four and is best over this trip. He gets on well with today’s 5lb claiming rider.
