Urgent manhunt as woman, 71, found dead with ‘significant injuries’ in house in London with murder probe launched

COPS have launched an urgent manhunt after a w 71-year-old woman was found dead with “significant injuries”.

Officers and emergency services scrambled to the scene at a property on Bath Road, Hounslow on Sunday, just after 10am.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.

Forensic investigators continue to work the home which remains a crime scene as officers appeal for witness to come forward.

So far there have been no arrests in connection with the death. 

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. 

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life. 

“We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened and we are keeping an open mind to pursue all lines of inquiry.

“We urge anyone who was in the area of Bath Road, who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to come forward. 

“Even small pieces of information can prove vital.

“Extra patrols will be carried out in the local area to provide reassurance to residents.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
