BEVERLY Hills, 90210 star Kathleen Robertson has revealed she was left “too scared to speak to co-stars” following bullying on set.
The actress, who played the role of Clare Arnold from 1994 to 1997 on the hit US show, claimed she found a “cut up polaroid of her face” on set.
Kathleen, 52, recently said joining the cast in season four was “super intimidating” and she was “very anxious” from the start.
Speaking on the Slice of Life podcast, the Canadian star opened up about her time on the FOX show, saying: “It was horribly difficult.
“It was the biggest show in the world. For me — I can’t speak to anyone else — it was not a warm and fuzzy environment to land into.”
Kathleen starred alongside Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry among other stars.
The actress was left shocked when she discovered a picture of her face had been cut up and left in the makeup trailer ahead of her first shoot.
“There were Polaroids back in that day. They’d take Polaroids — continuity Polaroids,” Kathleen said.
“I’d see my Polaroids in the makeup trailer cut in half. I don’t know who did it.”
She recalled how she asked the makeup artists about the damaged photo, saying: “They were embarrassed because they didn’t want me to have seen it.
“They were trying to protect me.”
Kathleen said she was strong enough to handle it – saying “I could take it”, but admitted it did impact her long-term and how she approached future jobs.
The actress didn’t name those who made working on the show difficult – but praised co-star Tori Spelling for making her feel welcome.
She said: “Tori was amazing, day one, warm, amazing, welcoming.”
Kathleen, who left the show in season seven, said it was the right decision.
She recalled: “I’ve got to get out of here, If I don’t, I’m f—ed.”
This wasn’t the feud that was going on behind-the-scenes.
Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling were once pals before their friendship went sour.
Before Shannen’s sadly passed away in July 2024 after a long battle with cancer, she and Tori opened up on the feud in her podcast.
The women spoke the “pivotal” moment they fell out, with Tori admitting she was a “swayer”.
Shannen agreed and said: “You were always easily swayed. And it was very frustrating for me because I always used to tell you like, ‘Yeah, Tor, have an opinion.’
“Like, you’re smart, you’re funny, you’re talented. I loved you and I respected you and I wanted you to believe in yourself as much as I believed in you.”
Shannen then blamed the fallout on Tori’s ‘abusive’ boyfriend at the time.
She added: “I specifically remember looking at you and saying, ‘You have to end it with him, or I’m going to actually kill him. Like, I can’t stand by and watch this’.”
The pair mended their feud, but the rest of the 90210 cast also faced tensions.
Both women revealed how they were all “easily swayed” which created problems on set.
Beverley Hills 90210 aired its final episode in 2000 after 10 seasons on air.
