FASHION influencer Natalie Glaze has revealed the VERY unusual way she met her new boyfriend.
The content creator, 33, introduced her new beau Adam Thresher to her online community, sharing a sweet black and white photo of them.
But Natalie explained that their first encounter was neither traditional nor romantic – instead it occurred after she found out her ex-finance had cheated on her with Adam’s wife.
Natalie and Adam decided to meet for a “debrief” as they struggled to piece their lives back together after the betrayal from their respective partners.
In a surprise move, Natalie shared how she and Adam instantly hit it off as she described it as a “serendipity” moment.
In a lengthy caption, Natalie explained: “I thought it’s about time to introduce you to Adam as he is a key character in this story and chapter.
“Not only do we share the same birthday but we also have a pretty unique but beautiful love story.
“A year and a half ago my seven year relationship at the time and engagement ended and my life fell apart in one day, my home I’d just finished renovating, my swimwear business of seven years I’d worked so hard to build over night all came crashing down around me.
“A month later I found out my ex had been having an affair, turns out with Adam’s partner at the time.
“Me and Adam met for a coffee in November to debrief as I was still trying to piece together the story.
“We sat there for hours, I left and rang my mum and said that man is such a kind wonderful soul I felt like I’d known him forever.”
Natalie said her friendship with Adam, which was born out of heartache, quickly developed into something more romantic.
She continued: “What started as one coffee quickly developed into multiple over the next week then a drink where we discovered we shared a birthday both 16th of February babes just one of the many serendipitous joyful things about us.
“It started as a deep friendship and support of one another and a glimmer of joy in a dark time.
“But there was an undeniable pull between us and it very quickly developed into something more and us falling in love.”
Believing that they were meant to cross paths, Natalie didn’t hesitate to progress things further and the pair have now moved in together after a year-and-a-half of dating.
“I think it goes to show that you can be living a life you thought was right and on a path you didn’t question and sometimes the universe has other plans and it realigns your path to the right one,” she continued.
“Meeting Adam was the very best thing that happened to me in the past year and a half. Not only did we help heal each other.
“But it’s the most beautiful soft, loving, joy filled relationship I’ve ever had. And I’d go through it all again multiple times to have the life and love I have now.
“We recently moved in together and have spent the past year and a half rebuilding our lives slowly, healing and doing the work separately but also together as a team.
“It’s been a wild turbulent rollercoaster, the year threw us both challenge after challenge and at times it felt like drowning under the weight of it all but Adam was always there a steady guiding presence pulling me to the surface.”
Natalie’s followers were delighted that she had found love again after such a tumultuous time.
One wrote: “This is beautiful, you were meant to find each other.”
A second posted: “Sad you both had to meet at such a painful time but so so happy you met.”
A third commented: “What an extraordinary love story.”
Natalie was recognised as one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 after setting up her own sustainable swimwear brand, Stay Wild.
She previously revealed how she started her business back in 2018 from her kitchen table and quickly caught the eye of Selfridges.
Natalie said the idea stemmed from a casual conversation with her pal about recycling plastic from the ocean and their desire to turn unwanted plastic into swimwear.
The digital-media-consultant-turned-CEO then tested out an idea on Instagram before receiving thousands of positive reviews.
She said: “It all happened so quickly. Me and my business partner asked our followers if they would be interested in a brand that made premium, sustainable swimwear.
“Four weeks later, Selfridges were asking to see our designs.
“It was clear we had identified a gap in the market, and so we started creating immediately – but we had no experience at all.
“I turned up to a manufacturer with sketches I’d drawn on a piece of paper. I had absolutely no idea you had to make them in a special digital file.
“We were practically laughed out of the room.”
The leap of faith soon started to pay off with an Instagram account set up for the brand skyrocketing with followers.
At its peak the account was gaining a whopping 10,000 followers in a single day.
