FOOTBALL took a backseat on Friday night after Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney attended a Sporting Lisbon game.
The blonde stunner, 28, made a surprise appearance at the Jose Alvalade Stadium to watch Sporting’s 3-0 win over Estoril.
The actress was given the VIP treatment as she was presented with her own Sporting Lisbon kit by club official Andre Bernardo.
The shirt said ‘Sydney’ at the top as she beamed while wearing a cap, hoodie, leather jacket and jeans.
Sweeney watched the game in the directors’ box before making her way on to the pitch.
She posing with the club’s mascot Jubas, jumping into its arms, and was also given the chance to have a kickabout.
And after scoring a goal on the pitch, she bizarrely copied Bruno Fernandes‘ iconic celebration by covering her ears.
Sporting Lisbon posted a video of Sweeney’s evening at the stadium as they filmed her meeting club staff.
She appeared to enjoy herself as she was seen filming the views on the pitch and taking it all in.
The club also posted some pictures of the actress alongside a caption saying: “Welcome to Alvalade, @sydney_sweeney.”

Sweeney, who has shot to fame after appearing in projects like Euphoria, White Lotus and The Housemaid, wowed fans during her appearance.
Even a rival supporter couldn’t help but admire the club for bringing her to the game, as he posted on X: “I never thought I’d be jealous of Sporting.”
Another said: “This is the best signing of the season.”
A third joked the club’s mascot Jubas was “living the dream”.
But a fourth fan was baffled by the random appearance, as he simply wrote: “I have so many questions.”
Sporting won the game thanks to a brace from Luis Suarez and a stoppage time strike by Daniel Braganca.
The club are second in the Primeira Liga table and trail rivals Porto by four points.
