
MUSIC legend Neil Sedaka has been hospitalized following a sudden illness.
The singer is known for writing well-known tracks like The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and more.

Neil, 86, was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Friday morning, according to TMZ.
He fell ill early that morning, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
The songwriter remains in the hospital, where he is now recovering.
The Los Angeles County West Hollywood sheriff’s station told TMZ deputies assisted the fire department with a call related to a “medical request.”

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital at about 8 a.m.
He is still there being treated for this illness.
It has not been released what the singer fell ill with at this time.

Neil had several No. 1 hits in the early 60s, including Oh! Carol and Breaking Up is Hard to Do.

Neil was also given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
