MARKS and Spencer has revealed plans for a brand new 18,000 sq ft store.
If approved, the store would take the place of two former Amazon warehouses.

The site, if approved, would be part of a larger development in Watersmead Retail Park, Littlehampton.
It hopes to provide accessibility for residents and will also feature a Greggs, Mountain Warehouse, and a second Lidl.
It is estimated that it would open in autumn of 2027.
The store would generate up to 70 local jobs and offer on-site parking as well as EV charging stations.
In the proposal, the retailer said: “This store would provide local customers with access to the full M&S Food range, including fresh produce, bakery goods, ready meals and food to go, within a spacious and welcoming environment designed for today’s shoppers and future generations.
“The proposals by Hallway Properties Ltd have been designed to accommodate a new brand-defining M&S Foodhall of c.1,675sqm (sales floor area), which will enable M&S to showcase the full M&S Food range of over 6,600 products and bring a new quality food store to the catchment.”
This comes on top of the brand’s new plans to open over 500 new locations across the UK.
Some of the locations included in this are scheduled to open before the end of this financial year.
M&S has also seen some big changes as it begins to phase out cafes and introduce larger food halls.
Fourteen cafes across the UK are currently scheduled to close or have already closed this year so far.
