FORMULA ONE rookie Arvid Lindblad will officially become one of the fastest people on the planet when he makes his debut in Australia, but the teenager hasn’t even passed his driving test.
Lindblad, 18, is set to become the youngest Briton ever to race in F1 when the lights go out in Australia on March 8.
The Red Bull junior, who will be a rookie with Racing Bulls in 2026 after replacing Isack Hajdar in the seat following his promotion to Red Bull, was seen doing his due diligence on track in pre-season testing in Bahrain.
However, back home in the UK, Lindblad was put through his paces behind the wheel by content creator Angry Ginge.
Rambunctious Angry Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, joined Lindblad in a Ford – the new engine supplier for Red Bull F1 teams – road car as he took part in a mock driving test with the F1 star, who does not have a driving licence.
Trading the 200mph highs of his F1 car for the learner wheels of a humble Ford, Lindblad was berated by Angry Ginge for his “aggressive” behaviour behind the wheel after stalling the car.
Lindblad, one of five British drivers and the first with Indian heritage on the F1 grid this year, said he called in the big guns to help teach him the ropes.
The King of the Jungle was invited by Red Bull to try and teach Lindblad to drive, which Angry Ginge justified by joking that having his own licence for three years meant he was fully qualified to teach as a driving instructor.
Reviewing Lindblad’s performance behind the wheel, Angry Ginge said: “He’s a great lad. Driving? There’s a little bit to tweak, but I thought he picked up quite a few things naturally.
“His parking, which is one of the hardest things to do, he’s a natural at, I will be honest.

“One thing he did struggle with was blind spots, he didn’t check them until about an hour and a half in. But again, we got there and you could argue he was successful.
“He’s still alive, I’m still alive, and we didn’t crash into any moving vehicles.”

Lindblad shared some of his own thoughts on Angry Ginge as an instructor, saying: “He wasn’t the best instructor; there was too much talking.
“He’s got a few things to work on, but no it was really fun and I definitely earned the licence…
“He was going on and on about the blind spots so I’ll make sure to keep that in mind for next time.”
Asked whether he would take the lessons learned with Angry Ginge into his F1 racing, he said: “I mean I hope I’m not doing a three-point turn, but if I need it, I’m sorted.”
Lindblad concluded by tipping Angry Ginge, who is known for football and gaming related videos, to give a go at being a member of an F1 pit crew.
