A MASSIVE attack on Iran has been declared “inevitable” as a space age strike force of US stealth fighters arrives in the war zone.
An unprecedented squadron of 11 F-22 Raptors – America’s most advanced warplanes – are standing by to smash the rogue nation’s air defences.
The undetectable radar-dodging jets will be in the vanguard of Donald Trump’s onslaught if peace talks – which are currently ongoing – fail to strike a deal.
Oman-mediated negotiations appeared doomed in Geneva on Thursday as Iran continues to dodge concessions on its nuclear aims and refused to discuss ballistic missiles or bloody protest crackdowns.
Israeli officials said they believed that a US strike is now “inevitable” with one shrugging that a diplomatic resolution to the conflict would be the “surprise of the year”.
Aircraft carriers USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerald R. Ford – the most powerful warship on earth – are now both in range of of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s lair.
And they stand ready to decimate the mullahs’ power base with a sustained or lightning blitz.
The Raptors – providing a vital Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) platform – are seen as the last key component to be deployed before Trump gives an attack order.
Officials said it was the first time F-22s had ever been based on Israeli soil for a combat mission after flying from RAF Lakenhealth supported by refuelling tankers.
A full squadron of 12 took off but one was forced to turn back with a suspected fuel leak.
The F-22 boasts unmatched power to wipe out enemy radars and destroy surface-to-air missile batteries.
They complete a huge package comprising the two aircraft carrier strike groups with 150-plus aircraft – among 500 warplanes in total – 700 tonnes of munitions plus refuelling tankers.
Three AWACS “eye-in-the-sky” early warning planes are also in position while more spyplanes are already airborne watching over the Strait of Hormuz off the Iranian coast.
Experts said the biggest strike force launched since the 2003 Gulf War II was now primed and ready – and awaiting a phone call from its commander-in-chief.
Talks appeared doomed amid US warnings that Iran had accelerated its effort to build a nuclear bomb and was working on ballistic missiles which could strike America.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance said Khemenei’s regime was rebuilding secret atom plants smashed by US stealth bomber strikes last June.
Trump echoed the same claims in his State of the Union address on Tuesday, where he claimed Iran would soon be able to strike the US mainland.
If Trump decides to launch an attack, Iran has said it will target all US military bases in the Middle East – putting at risk tens of thousands of American service members.
Iran has also threatened to strike Israel – which could spark a regional war.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday: “There would be no victory for anybody it would be a devastating war.
“Since the Americans’ bases are scattered through different places in the region, then unfortunately perhaps the whole region would be engaged and be involved, so it is a very terrible scenario.”
On Wednesday, Vance said: “The principles very simple: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
He explained that Trump’s diplomats have been sent to Geneva to try and iron out a diplomatic deal.
But he ominously warned the US president had “other options as well”.
Should Thursday’s talks prove fruitless again, Iran risks facing the full wrath of Trump’s military build-up.

A CLANDESTINE web of 4,000 shady figures protecting Iran’s evil supreme leader from overthrow has been exposed for the first time.

Since the US and Israel launched an unprecedented 12-day blitz on the Islamic Republic last June, Khamenei, 86, has been increasing invisible in the public eye.
But extensive research by United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) today reveals while the West has interpreted this as vulnerability or even a leadership vacuum, it is actually proof of the immense apparatus working in the shadows.
Kasra Aarabi, director of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps research at UANI, told The Sun: “Khamenei has created the extensive Bayt apparatus to ‘coup proof’ his regime — and retain absolute control over every aspect of policy in the Islamic Republic.
“Khamenei has the Bayt to ensure continuity and the durability of the regime should he be eliminated.”

Iran is also reportedly on the brink of a game-changing missile deal with China that could put US warships in the Persian Gulf in the crosshairs.
The rogue state is now reportedly close to buying Chinese CM-302 supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles designed to skim low over the sea, dodge defences and smash into targets nearly 180 miles away.
If deployed, the missiles would dramatically boost Iran’s ability to strike at US naval forces in the region.
The missiles would be among the most advanced military hardware to be transferred to Iran by China and defy a United Nations arms embargo imposed in 2006.
Trump set a 10-day deadline last Thursday for Tehran to agree to a litany of nuclear concessions to avoid looming strikes.
But if Washington and Tehran fail to reach a breakthrough in Geneva, the whole Middle East region could be plunged into a sprawling war.
