DANIEL HEMETSBERGER was left with a bloodied face after a frightening fall during practice.
The Austrian, 34, is set to compete in the men’s downhill event at Milano Cortina this Saturday.
Ahead of the action, Hemetsberger and his fellow Winter Olympics hopefuls hit the slopes earlier for a practice session.
Mid-way down he lost control, veering towards the safety nets.
First Hemetsberger went flying into a gate, which knocked off his helmet.
He then terrifyingly crashed into the safety net with no helmet to protect his head.
Thankfully the alpine star was able to gingerly get to his feet.
With his helmet having popped off, Hemetsberger’s face was bloodied.
The Winter Olympics star could be seen wiping blood from his nose and mouth.
While he also appeared to be missing some teeth.

While a second commented: “He didn’t lose the teeth during this crash. He already lost it earlier and drives without them. At least that’s what the expert in the Austrian Television said.”
A third said: “But damn, never saw a helmet go away on a gate. That s*** would be dangerous as hell with more speed. He crashed into the net/snow with no helmet.”
