GORDON Ramsay has revealed that his heroin addict brother Ronnie “begged” to be the musician at the chef’s daughter Holly’s December wedding to Adam Peaty.
In a rare admission about his sibling, Gordon gave an insight into how their lives are worlds apart in the most heartbreaking way.
In Gordon’s upcoming Netflix series, the chef discusses his brother, Ronnie, who is battling heroin addiction and busking on the streets.
And revealing that they were in contact just weeks before his daughter Holly’s wedding last year, Gordon has now told MailOnline: “It was tough. It still pains me.
“He said, ‘Hey, have you got a music gig for the wedding? I’m free.’
“I put down the phone and I said to Tana, “F hell, here we are in the house we sleep in and there’s my little brother still with two pit bulls in a council flat in Birmingham, busking.”

Gordon added that the pair are on “opposite ends” of the spectrum, and sadly admits calls like that remind him how close they could have been as adults.
Gordon and his younger brother were born just 15 months apart and grew up very tight knit.
While Gordon was born in Scotland, the family moved to England shortly after and the boys were brought up on several council estates across Warwickshire.
He has since amassed a net worth of approximately $200 million and shares a stunning £7.5M London mansion with his wife Tana and their children – amongst many other properties.
As well as Holly, the couple are parents to Megan, Jack, Tilly, Oscar and Jesse.
Admitting she had hoped to “save” her brother-in-law at one point, Tana says of Ronnie: ‘In the first few years after we were married I had this ideal view that I could make Ronnie better. We took him in.
“So many times we tried to fix him, then you actually begin to understand the enormity of the issue and that it’s never going to change until it comes from him. He’s not moved on at all.”
Discussing how he navigates his children having a relationship with their uncle, Gordon explained that his brood have their “own way” of dealing with the situation.
But for youngest boys Oscar and Jesse, he has decided to keep it completely separate and says he “will not” explain Ronnie’s struggles to them at such a young age.
In the new interview, Gordon and Tana also addressed their family’s feud with son-in-law Adam’s family for the first time.
While Gordon and his daughter’s husband have a very close relationship, the Olympic swimmer has become estranged from his side of the family.
Adam’s feud with his mum Caroline, 60, exploded In November after she was not invited to Holly’s hen do.
While the couple the uninvited her from their wedding ceremony, with only one member of Adam’s family – his sister Bethany – in attendance for the day.
It was then revealed that Caroline was “outraged and hurt” by Gordon’s “cruel” digs at her family during the day’s speeches, something he has denied doing.
In the new interview, Gordon and Tana strongly insisted they had “done nothing wrong” amid the ongoing drama.
The pair also said they would like to “draw a line in the sand” with Adam’s family.
