Peter Mandelson exchanged a stream of smutty emails with Jeffrey Epstein, new documents show – despite claiming he was ‘kept separate’ from the paedophile financier’s ‘sexual side’.
Aside from brazen remarks about strippers, ‘well-hung’ young men and ‘new hotties’ in government, their chats were also riddled with sexual innuendo.
One such message was sent in April 2009 after a climate change protester threw green slime all over Mandelson, making headlines.
In a private message, Epstein joked: ‘Goo on your face again.’
In October that year, Mandelson responded to a bizarre suggestion from Epstein that he marry Princess Anne and become prime minister, saying he would ‘get straight on it’.
Epstein replied: ‘You getting straight is too horrible to imagine … I was referring to your appendage.’
In July 2009, while Epstein was still serving a sentence for soliciting girls as young as 14 for prostitution, he advised Mandelson to make ‘bold moves’.
Mandelson quipped: ‘In what areas..? Policy, social or sexual?’

Two days later, when Epstein was released from jail, Mandelson asked how they should celebrate. ‘With grace and modesty,’ he replied, ‘(those are the names of two strippers).’
Later that day, Mandelson asked how ‘freedom’ felt. Epstein said: ‘She feels fresh, firm, and creamy.’
The run-up to the 2010 General Election, during the dying days of the New Labour government, there was a flurry of suggestive messages between the pair.
After an emergency Cabinet reshuffle, which saw Mandelson appointed Lord President of the Council, Epstein emailed him saying: ‘Good work.’
Mandelson replied simply: ‘Phew.’
Epstein then asked whether that was just a sigh, or a reaction to ‘the number of new hotties’ in government.
Later, Epstein advised Mandelson to pledge loyalty to Gordon Brown to avoid being cast aside.
Mandelson feared Brown would ‘immediately press the panic button’ if he did, because he had become ‘highly sensitised to [any] movement of my eyebrow’.
A photograph released as part of the Epstein files apparently shows Lord Mandelson in his underwear talking to a woman who is wearing a white bath robe

Mandelson and Epstein appeared to message each other mocking Brown’s inevitable departure just days before he resigned
The pair also seemingly joked about the peer marrying Princess Beatrice with the paedophile financier describing it as ‘incest’, emails show
Epstein chided him: ‘Are you sure the backpressure from your lack of sex is not turning your brain into fois gras?’
Mandelson replied: ‘It’s certainly a serious problem. Cure coming to London from S’hai next weekend.’
On the day of the election, May 6 2010, Mandelson emailed Epstein telling him: ‘We are praying for a hung parliament. Alternatively, a well-hung young man.’
Despite being booted out of power by an alliance between the Tories and the Lib Dems, Epstein kept in regular contact with Mandelson.
One message in July 2010 appears to refer to a previous conversation, which does not appear in the files, but suggests Mandelson was well aware of Epstein’s proclivity for much younger women.
‘When we say “wife”,’ he wrote, ‘we don’t mean 20 years old and Russian.’
Epstein replied: ‘Yes dear.’
Later that year, Mandelson revealed that he was in Jodhpur, India. ‘It’s a bazaar,’ he wrote. ‘A cow just stepped on my foot.’
Apparently implying that his friend may have been trying to have sex with the beast, Epstein replied: ‘What were you trying to do to it?’

While on a work visit to China, Mandelson emailed Epstein telling him the locals ‘seem to accord me almost god-like status’.
Suggesting that he might be willing to cheat on then-boyfriend Reinaldo Avila da Silva, Epstein replied: ‘After dancing with everyone at the party, hopefully you will take someone home.’
In May 2013, Mandelson tried to convince Epstein to join him in St Petersburg. ‘It’s a rave,’ he told him.
Epstein replied: ‘You mean it’s for gays.’ Mandelson shot back: ‘Er no, tastey models and dancing [sic].’
On New Years Eve that year, Mandelson apparently met a male friend of Epstein’s called Lars Christiaanse, and emailed his friend wanting him to ‘tell me about [him]’.
‘I told you, you would find him cute,’ replied Epstein, adding he was a ‘wannabe rich’.
Mandelson asked if he was ‘trustworthy’, adding: He and I both agreed we really want him to drive us both to PB [Palm Beach] to see you all but I don’t think R [Reinaldo] will wear it … I think it would create major R problems.’
The sexual chatter between the two friends is at odds with an interview Mandelson gave the BBC in January, when he claimed he ‘wasn’t attuned’ to Epstein’s sex life and was ‘kept separate from what he was doing in the sexual side of his life‘ because he was a gay man.
Mandelson did not comment last night, but has always fiercely denied being aware of Epstein’s wrongdoing. He and Mr da Silva have been together for nearly 30 years.
