The release of three million documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has sparked several conspiracy theories about who the paedophile financier may have secretly fathered.
It has not been confirmed whether Epstein – who never married – had any children, but buried in the files published by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday are documents that suggest he may have hidden several offspring from the public.
Among the vast tranche is an emotional diary entry from one of Epstein’s victims, who alleges to have given birth to a baby girl in about 2002, when she would have been 16 or 17 years old.
She claims the father was Epstein and that the newborn baby was snatched away ten minutes after birth, asserting: ‘I miss the person I was before I was made into what feels like a human incubator.’
Elsewhere in the files is an email addressed to the disgraced financier from Sarah Ferguson, where she congratulated the paedophile on the birth of a ‘baby boy’ after he was released from jail in 2011.
In an attempt to discover who Epstein’s hidden children could be, people have taken to social media to publish wild hypotheses, including that Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York City, is the paedophile’s ‘illegitimate son’.
Other people on the internet have spread the unsubstantiated claim that Epstein is the father of the Island Boys, the hip-hop duo made up of Alex and Franky Venegas.
In each case, photographs edited with artificial intelligence have gone viral online, perpetuating the ludicrous theories despite a lack of credible evidence.

Among the documents released by the DOJ is an email naming film director Mira Nair, the mother of Mayor Mamdani.
According to an email sent by publicist Peggy Siegal to Epstein on October 21, 2009, Nair, attended an afterparty at Ghislaine Maxwell’s house that was also attended by former President Bill Clinton and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
‘Just left Ghislaine’s townhouse…after party for film. Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there…Jean Pigoni, director Mira Nair….etc,’ Siegal wrote.
The details in the email suggest it was a party for Nair’s 2009 adventure-romance film Amelia, starring Hilary Swank and Richard Gere.
The email has led to social media users publishing AI-generated images, falsely depicting Nair alongside Mamdani as a child at the glitzy afterparty.
‘Somebody has to say it. There is a very real possibility Zohran Mamdani is Jeffrey Epstein’s biological son,’ an account called USA News posted on X, generating over 23 million views.
One of the edited photographs has a watermark placed on it, indicating it may have been made with Google Nano Banana, an image generation and editing tool.
Other people on the internet are spreading the conspiracy that Epstein fathered the Island Boys, the twin brothers known as Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd online.
The rumour dates back to 2023, and has its origin in another AI-generated image showing Epstein – apparently on his private island Little Saint James – with four young boys.
Years ago, social media users sprung to the conclusion that the two minors flanking the convicted paedophile were the Island Boys, not understanding that the photograph was fake.

The Island Boys are American twin brothers, who became viral on the internet after posting popular videos on the platform TikTok
When the AI-image first began to circulate, Reuters said its researchers found no evidence that the photograph showed the financier with the hip-hop duo as children, contrary to social media speculation.
Italian fact-checker Open sourced the image to a March 25, 2023 Instagram post by a user called @aiartistking.
This person wrote in a comment at the time: ‘The whole thing is generated. Nothing in this picture is real. It’s created with Midjourney [an AI program].’
A member of the Island Boys, Flyysoulja, said to TMZ in 2023 that he and his twin brother, Kodiyakredd, are not the children in the image.
He also said that they have ‘never met’ Epstein.
Despite mounting speculation about potential children since the release of the files, the will Epstein drew up before his 2019 death in a New York prison cell did not mention any offspring.
In the wake of his death, a website created by a DNA company to find any possible heirs to his estate was flooded with over a hundred people, claiming to be the convicted pedophile’s children.
If any are found to be the multimillionaire’s children, they could lay claim to a piece his $635 million estate, which includes his Manhattan mansion and a luxury 75-acre estate, dubbed ‘pedophile island’.
Epstein, who took his life in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, left his assets in a trust after his death.
‘Jeffrey Epstein was sexually promiscuous for so long that there is a reasonable chance he may have fathered a child,’ Harvey Morse, founder of Morse Genealogical Services told the Sun.
The DNA firm set up the website Epsteinheirs.com shortly after the financier’s death, asking for people who thought they were heirs to his estate to come forward.
In less than a year, 386 people contacted the website and up to 130 said they could be his children.
Epstein earned his wealth as an asset manager and lived among elite circles.
In 2008, he pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution, but accepted a plea deal heavily criticised for being too lenient.
The deal required him to register as a sex offender and he served 13 months in prison, although he was allowed to work from his office six days a week.
At the time of his death, Epstein’s estate was valued at $635 million, an increase from about $577 million after the sale of some of its assets.
But victims of the financier have since received more than $120 million from a fund dedicated to compensating more than 100 survivors.
Epstein’s friend Sarah Ferguson congratulated him on having ‘had a baby boy’
Buried in the three million documents is a diary entry of one of Epstein’s victims
The woman said she only experienced ’10 to 15 minutes’ with her baby before she was taken
The victim alleges Ghislaine Maxwell was present in the hospital during the birth
The potential existence of Epstein’s secret son – who would now be 14 and in secondary school – was revealed in a sycophantic email to him from his friend Ferguson, who suggested she heard the news from her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Ferguson appears to have used it as an excuse to get back in contact with Epstein, even after his release from prison for child sex offences.
She wrote in the previously unseen email, released in the latest tranche of Epstein files: ‘Don’t know if you’re still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but have heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy’.
The email, dated September 21, 2011, contains a barbed attack on Epstein from Ferguson for apparently cutting off contact with her.
She wrote: ‘Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy.’ It is signed: ‘Sarah xx.’
The correspondence from Ferguson is among the three million pages, 180,000 images and 2,000 videos posted publicly by the DOJ.
Among the files is a diary entry from one of Epstein’s victims, which includes a copy of a pregnancy scan dated to 20 weeks’ gestation, alongside the words: ‘She is gone and she won’t be coming back.’
In the diary, the victim recounts a traumatic experience in which her baby was allegedly snatched away from her.
‘A shot and those rod like things had a hook and so much pain. Ghislaine said to push all the pain away,’ the victim wrote, describing the birth.
‘I saw between her fingers this tiny head and body in the doctors hands [sic]. It reached its tiny arm up and had a tiny foot.’
The victim describes how she heard ‘in the hall Ghislaine said she was beautiful’.
‘SHE WAS. Not is. She was a beautiful girl! I heard her! Where is she? Why did she stop whimpering?’ the woman wrote.
She later described herself as feeling like ‘nothing but your property and incubator’, asserting: ‘There is no respect for me as a human.’
