
A 17-YEAR-old boy has allegedly been raped in a late night attack as cops arrest a 38-year-old man.
The reported attack happened on January 30 at around midnight, cops said.
Sussex Police said the teenage boy was attacked at an address in St Leonards, East Sussex.
Yesterday the force arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of rape in connection with the incident.
He remains in custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Carol Shoesmith said: “This is an evolving investigation, and we have specialist officers in contact with the victim to ensure he is fully supported throughout.
“From the moment this was reported to us on Friday morning, we have conducted multiple enquiries in the St Leonards area to identify the suspect and arrest him.
“We are not seeking anyone else in connection to the incident at this time.
“We would like to thank those who shared our appeals and provided any information which led to this arrest, and we urge those with information to continue reporting, which could be crucial to the investigation.”
