WHILE temperatures remain low and the rain keeps pouring, gardeners are worried about protecting their beloved plants from the cold.
B&M may have the solution to keeping your greenery safe until the warmer weather of spring comes along.

For £15, the bargain shop is selling the Rolson Grow House.
Instead of having your plants take up space in your home and risking soil spilling on your floors, the grow house protects your plants from any frost or storm damage.
It’s a cheap solution to bringing your plants inside until the cold weather passes.
Standing at 100cm tall, it’s perfect for growing flowers, vegetables, and fruit with a roll up zip cover for easy opening and access.
During the winter, experts suggest to cover plants in order to trap in heat from the soil and prevent frost or wind from damaging any produce.
And for an extra bit of protection, 2-3 inches of mulch around the around the base of the plant helps to insulate the roots.
Compared to covering your plants in plastic bags, the grow house’s rigid, tall structure ensures the plastic doesn’t directly touch the plant or its foliage.
This means the cold cannot transfer to the plant and cause any damage.
Another tip when using a grow house is to zip it up before the sun goes down to keep in heat before the temperature drops at night.
Moist soil holds more heat than dry soil, so best to track the weather so you can water your plants before a freeze.
