THE Masked Singer fans were shocked after Mole Dommett was revealed to be a beloved Brit pop star tonight.
The famous figure popped up earlier this week on This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women dressed in their disguise and sharing hints on their celebrity identity.
X Factor star Olly Murs, 41, found themselves unmasked in tonight’s episode at the start of the show.
After the unmasking, Olly confirmed that the newspaper clue he had given was a nod to his song Wrapped Up.
Olly then went to join judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross as a guest panellist for the week.
Mole Dommett – a play on show host Joel Dommett’s name – kicked off the first of three TV appearances on This Morning surprising presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary this week.
They arrived equipped with a DAB radio, prompting Alison to guess: “It’s gotta be a radio DJ”.
The masked figure then gave a spoken clue: “No-one factored on this mole popping up to give all the extra clues.
“Everyone at home wants to know. Call me Inspector Clues-o.”
Mole later popped up again on This Morning with two additional clues where they said about “banking on a deal” before flashing a badge of a badger.
The busy masked star then hopped over to the Lorraine studio where they gave host Lorraine Kelly a fright as they arrived on set.
This time, the character came holding a health and safety sign that read ‘no muddy boots’.
To reveal their final clue, Mole Dommett said hello to the Loose Women, before parading around with a glass sand egg timer.
Fans were quick to jump on the plethora of hints, sharing their guesses on who could be the person behind the mask.
On reddit, several people suggested that Mole had to be the huge British pop star based on the clues.
The Dear Darling hitmaker started his career on X Factor back in 2009, where he finished runner-up to winner Joe McElderry.
Olly then returned to the show in 2015 as a co-host of The Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack.
As for his radio career, Olly currently presents the Saturday Breakfast show with Mark Wright on Heart Radio.
