COLE PALMER has kicked off a row with neighbours over plans for a home gym at his £4.3million Surrey mansion.
The Chelsea star, 23, has splashed out on the six-bedroom pad near the Blues’ training ground.
And that will boost fans’ hopes that he will stay at Stamford Bridge – although SunSport exclusively revealed he is open to a move to Manchester United.
Palmer’s luxury new build is in a private gated estate.
It boasts four reception rooms, a media and games room, day room, evening room and family room.
It also has a master bedroom with a dressing room, a first-floor staff flat and gym, a study, boot room and even a “bonus” room.
Palmer now wants to build a detached gym at the bottom of his garden.
But a neighbour has objected to the proposed outbuilding.
In a letter to the local council, they said: “We write to object to the application on the basis of reduced privacy and noise.
“The proposed building is right up against our border which will involve removing two mature trees which will mean we are no longer screened from the house it belongs to.

“Our suggestion would be to locate the building nearer to their own house.”
But in his application, in his dad Jermaine’s name, Palmer says that no trees will be lost as a result of the development.
Land Registry records show that Palmer bought the house late last year.
And the plans for a gym suggest that he will be staying at Chelsea despite being unsettled and willing to consider a return to the north-west.
Despite coming through the Manchester City academy, Palmer is a United fan and idolised Wayne Rooney as a kid.
A previous application for new entrance gates was given the go-ahead despite a neighbour’s objections over the “use of high explosives” during the construction of the new build.
Former Chelsea players who live nearby include Petr Cech, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ben Chilwell, Ryan Bertrand and Glen Johnson.
Officials at Elmbridge Council are expected to make a decision in March.
