CONOR BENN has paid tribute to Chris Eubank Jr after the duo landed the iconic Fight of the Year prize.
The brutal April 12-round war between the rivals – in which the pair threw everything at one another in front of 67,000 fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London – has landed the top gong.
After leaving it all on the canvas, it was Eubank who was victorious by unanimous decision.
The roles were reversed in the highly anticipated rematch in November – but it is the original bout that grabbed the headline spot.
It’s been a feud that has lasted 35 years after the two fighters’ fathers, Chris and Nigel had a rivalry during their ring days.
At the Ring Magazine’s Award Show, the duo were honoured as they both took to the stage and delivered acceptance speeches.
Eubank Jr said: “2025 was a big year for me. The highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows.
“As did this man, ironically enough.
“What we did in April has earned us fight of the year but I think this particular fight will go down in history and be remembered forever.
“That is all that any fighter can every really dream to achieve during their career.

“It is a privilege to deliver entertainment for the public for fight of the year and a blessing to be here.
“A big thank you to everyone involved.
“Most of all, a big thank you to you Chris. This fight wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for you.
“It takes two to tango, and you brought that out of me.
“Credit to you. Thank you guys.”
The April bout was a grudge match over two years in the making.
In the build-up Eubank Jr slapped Benn across the face with an egg at an extraordinary media conference as tensions continued to rise.
Eubank Sr then make a shock appearance at fight night as he arrived alongside his son in a major twist to send fans into a frenzy.
It just added to the whole drama of the fight in a moment which will go down as both iconic and memorable as they emerged from a car together with thousands of fans watching on.
