A “BEAUTIFUL” young woman died in a car crash on Christmas Eve – with her family paying a heartbreaking tribute.
Saskia Weatherley was killed after her Volkswagen T-Roc car hit the central reservation on the M2 near Gillingham, Kent, and overturned around 12.50pm on December 24 2025.
The 29-year-old was on her way back from buying last-minute Christmas presents at shopping centre Bluewater in nearby Stone when the tragedy occurred.
Mum Julie Weatherley described her daughter as “amazing, kind and my everything”.
In a Facebook post, she said: “She died in a car crash this past Christmas Eve.
“Losing Saskia has torn a hole in my world, and it doesn’t makes sense, life feels unbearable without her.
“When someone you love, like a child is so completely gone, the future is empty, worthless and cruel. I am in so much pain beyond any physical pain.
“You don’t simply lose a loved one, you lose everything you were and everything that your loved one was meant to be.
“I miss the little things most — the moments that seemed ordinary at the time but now mean everything.
“My darling girl, I love you and always will. Your mumma.”
Saskia had a diploma in fashion design at Ravensbourne University and dreamed of making a splash in the industry.
Speaking to KentOnline at the family home in Newnham, near Faversham, dad Richard said: “She was just getting herself to a point where she was starting to see how her life might pan out.”
Originally from Shorne, near Rochester, Saskia was working on a range of men’s accessories made from carbon fibre, as well as horse-related products.
She owned huskies and two horses and was building her own stable at the family home.
Brother Max said: “This world isn’t as good as it used to be because she’s not in our lives every single day anymore.”
He added that he spent “every day of my life” with his sister and they never argued.
Saskia had spent the day before her death in London with her dad, and had left the family home at lunchtime on Christmas Eve to go shopping.
Richard said: “If I’d just given her a hug for five more seconds. And then just gone, wait, give her another hug.”
The family say they are still awaiting the full details on the incident that led to Saskia’s death.
It is understood she had not struck any other cars but her loved ones are keen to know if any other drivers were indirectly involved.
Richard wonders whether his daughter suffered a medical episode, adding that the family are trying to distract themselves as they deal with their grief.
