Dublin Racing Festival CANCELLED with another inspection called for Sunday’s action as Saturday card moved

DAY one of the Dublin Racing Festival has dramatically been cancelled.

And another inspection will be held tomorrow before any action takes place.

Saturday’s axed card – including the Irish Gold Cup – will be moved to Monday.

And conditions must improve at the venue before Sunday’s Irish Champion Hurdle card featuring the likes of Lossiemouth can go ahead.

It is a devastating blow for the 15,000-odd punters who were hoping to make the pilgrimage to the track.

The Saturday card, featuring seven races, was a sellout.

More to follow.
