Moment railway station guard coolly gets back to work after carrying out sex attack on 14-year-old girl in office

It could be ordinary footage of a railway station worker casually leaning against a wall – but Aamar Mohammed, dressed in a high-vis jacket, has just committed a sexual assault against a teenage girl.

Mohammed, 35, lured the 14-year-old schoolgirl into an office before forcing himself on her while he was on duty at Worcester Shrub Hill station.

The security guard had approached the girl on the platform, asking where she was travelling and offering to help.

He then walked the victim to the platform where her train was due to arrive before moving into the station office.

Mohammed asked the girl into the office, suggesting it was a warm place to go while she waited for her train.

But as she approached, he turned the lights off in the room and carried out a ‘deplorable’ sexual assault once she was inside.

She managed to escape and returned to the platform to board her train, at which time Mohammed chillingly ‘waved her off’ as the service left the station.

The victim, who suffered bruising from the attack, told her family what had happened and they called the police.

Mohammed was arrested later that evening on November 14, 2021 and charged with two counts of sexual assault.

He failed to appear for a court hearing and was arrested again at his home in March 2023.

Mohammed, of Sandwell, West Midlands, was found guilty after a week-long trial at Worcester Crown Court.

Prosecutor Holly Sims had told the court during the trial: ‘He said, “do you want to go inside as you look cold”.

‘She decided to go to the room. She thought it was a waiting room. She said she trusted the defendant as a person in authority.’

In a police interview played to the trial, the young victim described the moments after the assault.

She said: ‘I was on the train and I saw him wave. I didn’t do anything back.’

Mohammed was jailed for three years and eight months on January 12 and given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Mohammed will also be on the sex offenders register for life.

Detective Constable Tim Friend, of British Transport Police, said: ‘Aamar Mohammed used his trusted position as a station security guard to prey on a teenage girl and subject her to a deplorable sexual assault.’

He added Mohammed’s attack was ‘so forceful’ it left the victim with ‘physical injuries’ and would ‘no doubt have a lasting impact on her psychologically’.

‘It is down to her bravery in reporting him to police and determination to stick with the process as it progressed through the courts that we have been able to bring a truly vile man to justice,’ DC Friend said.

‘We will stop at nothing to ensure sexual predators like Mohammed are removed from our communities and put behind bars where they belong.’
