Kate Garraway was left terrified as a ‘creepy’ Good Morning Britain guest arrived in the studio for an interview.
The presenter, 58, joined Ranvir Singh, 48, to host Friday’s (January 30) edition of the ITV daytime programme.
But viewers were distracted by Kate’s antics, as she shrieked and looked behind the sofa upon spotting something.
She said: ‘It’s in the studio! ‘It’s creeping me out!’
‘Oh my God it’s behind us!’
Kate was reacting to a ‘robot dog’ known as Spot, whom the pair introduced near the end.

Kate, 58, joined forces with Ranvir Singh, 48, to present Friday’s episode of the ITV daytime programme
Towards the end of the episode, the pair introduced viewers to a robot dog known by the name Spot
Ranvir revealed Spot wowed on America’s Got Talent, but the mechanical canine was now being put to use at a decommissioned nuclear plant.
They utilise the robotic dog within areas at the Sellafield site in Cumbria which are ‘deemed too dangerous and toxic for humans to be in’.
Spot therefore has features such as cameras and sensors, and also can “sniff out” hazards.
It’s not the first time things took a chaotic turn on Good Morning Britain when Kate and Ranvir were hosting.
Earlier this month, Ranvir suffered a wardrobe malfunction as her dress burst open live on air.
It meant co-star Kate that rushed in to ‘protect her modesty’ after this occurred during the programme.
The duo were joined by the broadcaster’s resident entertainment expert Richard Arnold when Ranvir noticed the buttons on her dress had popped open.

It left the three presenters in fits of giggles as Ranvir quickly tried to button up her dress, as her co-stars made a series of cheeky jibes towards her.
‘Oh, my button has popped undone!’ Ranvir said, turning her chair away from the cameras as she noticed the wardrobe malfunction.
Kate cheekily jibed back at her: ‘Oh, hello!’ as Richard laughed, joking: ‘What, in anticipation? Sorry, Ranvir, wrong crowd.’
‘You’ve got to know your audience, Ranvir,’ Kate continued, as the cameras quickly panned away from the presenter to give her a moment of privacy.
Ranvir joked off screen: ‘Although, everyone at home would have loved it,’ to which Richard quipped back: ‘I’m sure they would’ve appreciated it.’
Kate quickly offered a helping hand, holding up a sheet of paper with the headlines across Ranvir’s chest, with Richard adding: ‘Yes, cover her modesty.’
Buttoning herself back up, Ranvir continued to laugh as Richard went on to present the entertainment segment, before quickly getting her game face back on.
While back in November 2025, Kate was caught whispering to her co-star on live TV – and the microphones picked it up.
She and her colleague Adil Ray discussed the latest news and weather, joined in the studio by Charlotte Hawkins and weatherwoman Laura Tobin.
The duo spoke to Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn about their then-upcoming rematch, as well as talking to World War II veteran Alec Penstone, who is still selling poppies at the age of 100.
Later in the show, Kate and Adil chatted about the biggest news with commentators Salma Shah and Caroline Flint.
But as Salma and Caroline started to discuss the recent prison release mistakes, Kate began speaking into her mic, which was picked up on TV.
She whispered: ‘Okay, let’s have a look.’
Kate continued: ‘Okay, will somebody look at these?’
Taking to X, fans were clearly confused as they shared their thoughts on the bizarre moment.
One person penned: ‘What was that freaky whispering?’
A second shared: ‘Sounds like Kate whispering something, can’t make it out though.’
A third added: ‘Someone needs to tell Kate Garraway her mic is picking up all her whispered comments,’ as another agreed: ‘Can someone tell Kate to turn her mic on.’
One annoyed viewer wrote: ‘@gmb why can I hear Kate whispering over the conversation,’ with a sixth echoing: ‘Thought I was hearing things.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
