A MOTOR expert has revealed the biggest discounts you can snap up this January.
You can save up to £13,000 on a car this month but only if you know how much dealerships are really allowed to slash.

Pat Hoy, founder of Insider Car Deals, told DailyMail: “Dealers try to get a good order bank going in the lead up to the all-important March new number plate month.
“While many car manufacturers have visibly increased their range and value of sales incentives, this can mean that dealers use this as cover to try to offer lower dealer discounts.
“This is often reflected by online car sales platforms that typically only publish discounted prices that dealers want buyers to see, rather than what is actually achievable.”
According to the expert, you can negotiate a £5,918 savings on a new model across all fuel types.
Dealer discounts, manufacturer savings across all of its showrooms, and PCP finance deposit payments are all included in the total savings indicated.
You could also secure a better deal for EVs thanks to the government’s Electric Car Grant.
Vauxhall Mokka Electric has been slashed by £13,618, bringing it down from £38,105 to £24,487.
The family crossover is the most discounted car on the market at the moment.
Another family-favourite Peugeot 2008 has been discounted by 31.5 per cent, bringing it to £22,987.
Buyers could also bag a premium car for £12,587 less than its retail price.
Audi Q4 E-Tron sports generous dealer discounts on top of the brand’s own deals which can save you 27.5 per cent.
You could bag the electric SUV for £13 a month less than a Ford explorer.
