YOU might not like the sound of it.
But there’s a two-ingredient dessert doing the rounds on social media that promises to be both delicious and less calorific than your typical pudding.
It involves blending together tinned peaches and chocolate, and ex The Great British Bake Off star Briony May took to TikTok to share a video of herself testing it out for the first time.
She admitted she was “pretty sceptical” before attempting the recipe, but threw herself into giving it a go.
“Apparently if you blend peaches with melted chocolate and then refrigerate it for a few hours you’ve got a really tasty snack,” she began.
“This one’s gone viral and I want to know if it tastes good because I just, I just don’t believe it!”
She first drained a tin of peaches, and popped them into her blender, before adding 100g of dark chocolate that she’d melted.
“I’m not gonna pass judgment until I’ve tried it!” she vowed.
Briony then blended the two ingredients together, before pouring it into a container lined with greaseproof paper.
Next, she popped it into the fridge, where she left it overnight to set.
The following day, Briony took the dessert out of the fridge to taste test, but admitted it was still “quite soft” and “more like a mousse”, wondering if she hadn’t put enough chocolate into the mixture.
She took a small spoonful of the chocolate and peaches combo to taste, and looked suitably shocked as she then declared: “That’s a bit of alright!”
“That’s nice. I’m on board. I like it!” she continued, before concluding: “That is delish!”
“Tinned peaches viral dessert… is it worth it?” Briony wrote over the top of her video.
“I have never considered peaches and chocolate, but now I can’t wait to try!” one person commented on the TikTok.
“You can blend water with chocolate, too,” another said.
“Makes a surprisingly decent mousse.”
“Don’t tempt me, I tried the viral cheesecake…it was mind blowing!” a third admitted.
What are the biggest kitchen trends of 2025?
The kitchen is the heart of every home and this year it’s taking centre stage, Tracy Coleman, Product Director at High Street TV told Fabulous.
Hardworking appliances
Space-saving essentials are needed in every room of the house, and the kitchen is no exception, meaning appliances are often doing double (or triple) the job.
Expect to see air fryer ovens that roast, bake, and fry or blenders with attachments for everything from chopping to grinding.
Health and wellness
With people becoming more mindful of what they eat and how it impacts their well-being, kitchen appliances are stepping up to
meet the demand for healthier, more balanced lifestyles.
Air fryers remain hugely popular, along with blenders and juicers that retain nutrients.
Energy-bill conscious
Finally, with rising energy bills and an increased focus on sustainability, people are turning to appliances that help reduce power consumption and keep costs down.
More people are finding joy in cooking at home as a cost-effective
way to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals. Cooking at home doesn’t just save money—it’s also a fun way to bring the family together or experiment with new recipes.
With the right tools, such as multi-functional appliances and smart kitchen gadgets, creating meals at home becomes easier, faster, and more satisfying.
“How much chocolate did you use and how much did you think you should have used?” someone else asked.
“I used 100g but think 150 would be better!” Briony replied.
“Do the same but with boiled butternut squash! I love it,” another suggested.
