A HUGELY popular American fast food chain is set to open its first restaurants in the UK this year.
Famed for its fried chicken and special sauce, even celebrities can’t resist it, such Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, Travis Kelce and Cynthia Erivo.
Raising Canes announced it’s going to be opening 100 new brick and mortar stores throughout 2026, including its first location in the UK.
The eatery is set to take over the former Angus Steakhouse site in London’s Piccadilly Circus, as the first of several restaurants planned to welcome Brits.
In a statement shared with Parade, Raising Cane’s shared: “February continues the momentum for Raising Cane’s as we grow in both new and familiar markets and introduce even more Communities to the Cane’s experience.
“With each new Restaurant, we extend our commitment to serving Craveable Chicken Finger Meals made with premium chicken and cooked fresh to order, while creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps Customers coming back and gives our Crews the opportunity to grow alongside the Brand.
“Steady growth in both new and established markets reinforces our long-term vision to be one of the top 10 Restaurant Brands in the United States.”
Foodies across the country flooded social media platforms with excited comments.
“OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” said one user on Facebook.
Another tagged their friend and said: “We are driving to wherever the first shop is on opening day.”
Raising Canes is known for its simple menu and “Raising Canes” sauce.
The sauce is a thick tangy dip with a slightly spicy, savoury flavour, though the exact formula is a secret.
