TOTTENHAM are among a host of clubs interested in signing Raheem Sterling after his Chelsea exit.
The former England international’s representatives have held exploratory talks with SEVEN Champions League-level clubs at home and abroad.
And Spurs are understood to be looking at the possibility of snapping up free agent Sterling.
Napoli, who were linked with the winger in the summer, have also renewed their interest.
Sterling, 31, would consider a move abroad to relaunch his career.
During last summer, he was willing to consider loan moves but only to clubs in and around London, for family reasons.
And he rejected the idea of a permanent transfer to the MLS or Saudi Pro League because he believed he could still play at the highest level.
Sterling remains determined to prove that and would move to Europe if the right opportunity arose.
He is understood to be in good shape physically despite training alone since last summer.
Tottenham fans would be unlikely to welcome Sterling with open arms.

As well as his history with Chelsea, however unhappy for the last two years, he also spent last season on loan from the Blues at arch rivals Arsenal, where his son Thiago is part of the Academy.
Although Sterling failed to shine with the Gunners and has not played a competitive game for more than eight months, he has enough credit in the bank to attract plenty of interest.
If a move to a Champions League club does not materialise, Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham have all been linked with giving the four-time Premier League winner a fresh start.
Agreeing a deal with Chelsea to tear up his £325,000-per-week contract and being available without a transfer or loan fee will work in his favour.
Sterling will take his time to weigh up options after the disappointment of the last year and a half.
He had FIVE permanent head coaches – plus interim bosses – in three and a half seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Sterling wants to join a stable club with a manager who plays his kind of football and believes in him, in order to have the best chance of resurrecting his career.
