THEY were once the best of friends who became inseparable after meeting on Love Island – but a mysterious fallout between Millie Court, Lucinda Strafford and Chloe Burrows dramatically ended the trio’s friendship for good.
Questions over what caused the sudden split in the first place have resurfaced online since Millie and Lucinda were forced to reunite on All Stars, and now we can reveal what really went on when the cameras weren’t rolling.
While Millie and Chloe remained tighter than ever, Lucinda was left out in the cold after a “betrayal” blew up their sisterhood.
We can reveal the feud kicked off when Chloe allegedly cheated on her then-boyfriend Toby Aromolaran.
And it was Lucinda who was said to have broken the news to Toby that she was being unfaithful.
There’s an unspoken code among the Islanders that they try to respect each other’s boundaries.
A source told The Sun: “The girls really were tight when they left Love Island and formed a really close friendship after they left the villa.
“They bonded in there through being outspoken bombshells, and that lived on, even though Millie and Chloe made it all the way to the final, and Lucinda left earlier.
“Over the months that followed, they drifted apart a little, but it wasn’t until a year later that things really imploded.”
Chloe left the villa with soon-to-be boyfriend, Toby, and they went on to move in together.
Then, in October 2022, it was revealed that they had split.
Lucinda, who Chloe called her “soulmate”, was then accused of committing the ultimate betrayal of girl code by siding with Toby.
The so-called disloyalty sent Chloe spiralling – and she ended up losing her friend and boyfriend at the same time. Insiders tell us it was also incredibly tough on Millie.
The source said: “Millie took Chloe’s side because they were that little bit closer, and that was in essence the end of the naughty trio. But it was horrible for her to be caught in the middle when it had nothing to do with her.
“On top of that, she is now the one who has had to come face-to-face with Lucinda on TV. It’s not ideal. ”
TikTok theories suggest Lucinda ratted on her close pal to crack on with Toby, who she secretly fancied, but it’s never been confirmed.
Our source added: “There’s an unspoken code among the Islanders that they try to respect each other’s boundaries when it comes to villa exes – much like in the villa, you’d have a conversation with all parties and generally try not to move on your mate’s man.
“But Lucinda totally went beyond that as she was meant to be best mates with Chloe.”
Toby’s tears
Chloe and Millie are one of Love Island’s most enduring friendships and still live together to this day.
It’s meant neither girl has spoken to Lucinda for years – until now.
Ahead of her arrival, Toby went online and questioned which versions of events would be told about their friendship falling apart.
Toby appeared on Love Island All Stars last year and broke down in tears as he opened up about the split, alleging for the first time that Chloe had cheated.
He said: “Even when we broke up. People always said that I cheated… it wasn’t even my choice to end the relationship, but I had to end it because it’s cheating. When it’s cheating, it’s done. It hurts to get cheated on.”
Lucinda arrived in the All Stars’ Cape Town villa last week and came face to face with ex-pal Millie.
She admitted to the boys that Millie “used to be my best friend”.
When Ciaran Davies asked Lucinda what happened, she said: “Well, nothing actually happened that deep at all.
“Obviously, I will speak to her when I see her. I actually didn’t even see her walk in, to be fair.”
She added: “But it will be nice to see her, obviously, I haven’t seen her in ages.”
Despite fans’ hope that a conversation to clear the air between Millie and Lucinda would follow, nothing has yet been aired.
In fact, the awkward situation has been swept under the carpet.
Lucinda even turned to Millie for support when Ciaran kissed Samie Elishi while in a couple with her.
Lucinda had “stolen” Ciaran off Samie during a recoupling despite them being one of the strongest pairings in the villa.
After Love Islanders gasped at the shock decision, Lucinda simply stated: “I’ve come here to bombshell.”
