KSI calls out former Chelsea hardman Diego Costa for boxing fight and brands striker ‘terrible player’

KSI has called out Diego Costa for a boxing match and labelled the Chelsea legend a “terrible player”.

The YouTuber-turned-boxing superstar gave Costa his second drubbing in a week after he was also slammed by Napoli manager Antonio Conte.

The two are going to come face to face on Friday in the Match For Hope charity game in Qatar, which SunSport will be bringing you live coverage of.

KSI said in the press conference he was out to break legs after scoring an own goal in last year’s game, but still came out victorious.

He was then asked if Costa will be an exception to that rule, and delivered a very strong answer.

He said: “I think Diego Costa is a terrible player, I don’t think he’s good at all. What has he done? I can fight as well. KSI vs Diego Costa I’m here for it!”

KSI was backed up on the press conference stand by fellow YouTube star Harry Pinero, who added: “If he dares go through JJ, he’s got me there.”

The name Tommy Fury was uttered in the crowd, and KSI picked up on the jibe, with a cheeky laugh.

He added: “Hey I won that fight and you know it!”

He, in fact, didn’t win it – Fury won by majority decision, although controversy surrounded the result at the time, with the fight scored 57-56, 57-56, 57-57.

Fans are buzzing to see Costa back in action, with the Spaniard always delivering entertainment on the pitch as recently as the Chelsea vs Liverpool legends match at Stamford Bridge.

In that game it was old foe Martin Skrtel he clashed with.

The former Blues star will be linking up with Eden Hazard once again on Friday, starring for Team Chunkz with a host of big names, including Brazilian legend Marcelo and I’m a Celebrity winner Angry Ginge.

They will go up against the likes of KSI, Thierry Henry, Franck Ribery and more on Team Aboflah.
