BBC morning show icon Diana Moran has confessed she thought she was going to die from a complication after taking antibiotics.
The Green Goddess, who had a fitness segment on the show in the 80s, has been leading a happy life despite living with a brain tumour for 16 years.
Diana, 86, recently spoke out about a terrifying health scare which came as she experienced a string of personal tragedies.
The star lost her partner Robin of 10 years, her beloved cat Maisie and was forced to have another surgery all in the same year.
She believes these events were too much for her to handle.
Speaking to Best magazine, Diana said: “I thought my life had come to an end.

“I’ve had a brain tumour for 16 years and lived with it happily, but the combination of losing Robin and another operation I had, and a reaction to antibiotics, seemed to kick off the brain as well.”
The former model has now recovered and has decided to downsize her property and move from Surrey to an ‘independent living’ community in Somerset.
Diana said her new home will be close to her sons Nick and Tim, plus her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She said: “I don’t know how much longer I’ve got. None of us do. So every day is special.
“You have to try and be positive and think what’s ahead of you. Feeling old is your choice.
“If you are always looking back you probably are going to feel old.”
The fitness expert also told the magazine just how important human interaction was to her as she gets older.
Diana said: “Girl company is really good for you. They boost your morale. And keep in touch with the younger generation so you know what’s modern.”
She revealed during the interview that her career as a fitness instructor began at Butlins on Barry Island, where she stayed for seven years.
Her career reached new heights though when she appeared on BBC Breakfast as the Green Goddess back in 1983, wearing her trademark green leotard.
She later fronted the Get Fit with the Green Goddess video, which was published by the Beeb in 1984.
The TV star returned to our screens in 2023 for BBC Breakfast’s 40th anniversary alongside other legendary faces.
She recreated her famous morning keep fit routine at the site of her very first one – London’s Waterloo Railway station – where she yet again entertained morning commuters in true 80’s style.
Despite her fitness focused lifestyle the presenter previously told fans about her history with breast and skin cancer.
Diana even campaigned to raise awareness about breast cancer symptoms among women aged over seventy.
