Teen charged after boy, 14, killed when e-scooter they were riding crashed into car

A TEENAGER has been charged after a 14-year-old boy was killed when an e-scooter crashed into a car.

Jacob Calland died following a collision between an e-scooter and a car in Wythenshawe at around 4pm on March 19 last year.

Now, a boy who cannot be named for legal reasons and is also aged 14, has been charged with a string of offences.

The teen was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving unlicensed, and causing death by driving uninsured.

He has been released on bail to next appear at Manchester Youth Court in February, said cops.
