The Traitors stars Amanda Collier and Jade Scott revealed they had a secret connection outside the castle – surprising fans with the reveal.
During their time on the BBC show, retired police detective Amanda suspected Jade of being a Traitor from very early on – although both were actually Faithfuls.
The pair took to Instagram and opened up about a shared connection in their real lives, although neither knew it during filming.
Speaking in a recorded FaceTime call, Amanda said to Jade: ‘Back in the 1990s, way, way, way before you were born, I was a uniformed police officer and I used to work at Islington Police Station.
‘One of my favourite, favourite people to go out on patrol [with] was a guy called Jonathan.
‘And Jonathan and I used to go out in our car and on the beat and we’d go and catch criminals in life or death situations and stuff like that.’

Amanda continued: ‘And there’s a bit of a connection. What is it, Jade?’
To which Jade replied: ‘This Jonathan is actually my boyfriend’s dad.’
The two of them proceeded to laugh over the coincidence, asking ‘What are the chances?’
It was revealed that, after filming, Jade had messaged Amanda to ask more about where she had worked.
Amanda recounted: ‘The Met Police is huge and then you said “North London” and I thought “Okay…”, then you said 90s and I was like, “Okay!” And then we just like, narrowed it down.
‘You sent me his name and I still didn’t believe it, so I said “Send me a photo”, you sent me a photo and I said, “That’s Johnny!”
‘That’s just insane. People don’t realise what a huge coincidence that is.’
She concluded: ‘What’s absolutely lovely about this is he was just my favourite person… he was fantastic and I loved him.’
Reacting to the revelation, one follower penned: ‘This whole time you could have been allies.’
Another added: ‘That’s cool – it’s a small world.’
A third chimed in: ‘The world is such a small place in many ways, absolutely incredible.’
A fourth remarked: ‘This is mind blowing! There were so many extra connections on that family tree!’
While a fifth said: ‘I love these co incidental connections.
Fans were stunned by the link – which never came up during their time on screen
‘I find it so weird that Amanda went for Jade so early on and stuck to it.
‘Maybe the intuition was there but she just interpreted that intuition as “must be a traitor”. The show was incredible.’
In the game itself, Amanda was banished early on and Jade ultimately reached the final five.
However, she, along with Faraaz Noor and Jack Butler, fell short to Traitor winners Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy.

Series four was dominated by connections – whether genuine, unintentional or theorised.
Mother and daughter Judy and Roxy entered together, although the former was first to be banished.
Fellow contestants Ross and Ellie hid their pre-existing romantic relationship – which was revealed by Ellie upon her elimination.
Ross also had an unplanned, second pre-Traitors link with Netty, an old acquaintance he hadn’t seen in a decade and who surprised him upon arrival at the castle.
At one point, viewers suspected there was a link between all the players due to a family tree portrait being present.
The Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
