
A TEENAGE girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in a busy city centre on New Year’s Eve.
Detectives probing the reported assault have since released CCTV of a person they believe could assist their investigation.

Cops said the precise location of the alleged assault remained unclear but it is believed to have occurred just outside Liverpool One shopping centre in Liverpool.
Investigators said the victim managed to get a number 80 bus home after the horror assault at around 6:30pm on December 31.
Once home, they reported the offence and cops immediately launched a probe into the allegation.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers.
Merseyside Police is appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have seen the man pictured to come forward immediately.
The force believes the person in the CCTV images may have information that could assist their investigation.
Detective Constable Hannah Gough said: “We think that the man pictured could have information to help this investigation, so if you know him, please come forward@MerPolCC or 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers now with reference 26000001798..
“Additionally, we are keen to speak to a Good Samaritan who assisted the victim in getting onto the bus.
“She is described as black, with black curly hair, and was wearing light blue jeans/trousers and a coat.
“If you remember helping a girl onto the 80 bus in the city on New Year’s Eve, please come forward.
“If you have any information about sexual offences, whether it affects you or someone known to you, please be assured that are specially trained officers to support you throughout the investigation.”
