SUPERMARKET giant Aldi has brought a famous US-style sweet treat to the UK for the first time ever.
As part of its 2026 American Week, the retailer has added a special branded item to the collection.

The snack in question is Dreamies – a new take on a very well-known American classic – the “Twinkie”.
The treats boast a ‘creamy, marshmallow-style’ filling and are a hit with sweet-toothed shoppers.
The original cakes were a staple in American lunchboxes throughout the 80s and 90s, giving them a cult following.
Now, Aldi’s Dreamies follow the same format: a golden sponge finger with a vanilla marshmallow-style filling inside.
The sought-after snacks have arrived in the UK through a deal with Worldwide Global Brands – and Aldi has bagged the first boxes.
You’ll find them in the Specialbuys aisle priced at £2.75 for a pack of six – but they’re only around until 29 January.
Customers commented on social media: “I had these deep fried in batter in America once – weirdly very nice.”
A second added: “That sounds banging.”
A third admitted: “I ate the whole box in one go.”
