A FORMER This Morning star has taken a cruel swipe at much-loved TV personality Alison Hammond.
Jaci Stephen, who worked on the ITV show for seven years, praised a pair of fan favourites and brutally slammed Alison, 50.
Revealing her opinions on the TV personalities, Jaci gushed over This Morning’s soap expert Sharon Marshall – who adopted her role and Giles Brandreth.
It seems she doesn’t hold Alison in the same high esteem as she made a cruel jibe about the presenter’s interview skills,
Writing for The i, Jaci said: “I like Alison Hammond, but she is no interviewer, and the idea that she is needs to be knocked on the head with a very large mallet.”
Alison has worked on This Morning since 2002, serving as a reporter and presenter until 2021.

In 2021, Alison became a regular co-presenter on Fridays alongside Dermot O’Leary.
Jaci had nothing but kind words for 54-year-old Sharon as she wrote: “Sharon Marshall, my successor as Soap Queen, is terrific.
“She is also a very fine writer on EastEnders. My initial concern that she would in some way be compromised in this dual role were unfounded.”
She equally commended Gyles, adding: “Gyles Brandreth is a joy and if I had my way he’d be on TV 24/7.
“His intelligence, quick wit, charm and all-round brilliance never fail to impress.”
Despite her skill seemingly being torn apart by the former This Morning star Alison’s career has only gone from strength-to-strength as she became the co-host of The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding.
Speaking about filming for the Channel 4 show, Alison told her This Morning colleagues, she got the “jitters” the first time she entered the famous white tent.
She said: “I’m gonna be honest, I have never been that nervous.”
Alison added: “If you think of the bigger pictures, you think this is a global show, I don’t want to ruin this. And I could you know, I’m a little bit risky!”
And now it has recently been revealed the host is in advanced talks to appear on the next series of BBC’s Celebrity Traitors.
A source said: “Alison is on the BBC’s hit list for Celebrity Traitors and she’s keen.
“The Beeb think she could be comedy gold, just like Alan Carr. Alison is naturally very funny and they think she could end up being hugely successful.”
