MYSTERIOUS Girl singer Peter Andre released his first single in over a decade and it seems his ex Katie Price couldn’t help but steal his thunder as his pals slam her “suspicious timing.”
Peter’s new tune Rock U Right was dropped two days ago and coincidentally Pricey left fans floored as she shared the news of her shock engagement.
The 47-year-old and her new love Lee Andrews posted snaps from the Burj Al Arab in Dubai as they celebrated.
Former glamour model Katie is reported to be addicted to fame and can’t stand it if a fortnight passes her name or photograph appearing on a website, in a newspaper or magazine.
The TV star is said to despise her ex-husband Peter after their bitter split in 2009 and it seems the timing was all too good for her to resist according to Peter’s pals.
They have accused the star of deliberately hijacking an important career move for pop star Peter.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Katie can’t be without a man, she craves male attention and will do anything she can to keep herself in the headlines.
“Lots of people are wondering if any of it is even real, or just Katie being Katie.”
They added: “The fact is that Peter released his single hours earlier. There is no way Katie wants Pete to have the attention and she has none. It’s classic Katie. She’s been doing it for years.”
The Daily Mail’s source also accused Katie of previously trying to steal the limelight from her daughter Princess Andre – who she shares with actor Peter.
It came just days before the launch of Princess’ ITV reality show was set to launch. Katie revealed she was left devastated after being banned from taking part in scenes for the series.
Media attention turned to the mum-of-five as headlines about her being banned from the star’s 18th birthday party surfaced.
52-year-old Peter spent days tirelessly promoting his new work, teasing parts of his 12th studio album to his two million Instagram followers and urging fans to pre-order the track.
But now fans think he has been overshadowed by the bombshell news of podcast host Katie’s ninth engagement.
Two days ago Katie and her man revealed their set to tie the knot after a whirlwind romance.
Lee Andrews, who claims to be a businessman and investor, asked Katie to marry him while they lived lavish in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.
The self-confessed CEO posted a picture of the dreamy set-up which saw rose petals cover the floor spelling out, “Will You Marry Me? Katie”
TV personality Katie has since gushed over her man saying: “My Richard Gear [sic] swept off my feet. Manifesting does work”.
Appearing in a smitten video together Katie showed off her huge 25 carat engagement ring.
