Trump reveals secret ‘discombobulator’ weapon used in Maduro raid as Don says US has taken oil from seized tankers

DONALD Trump has revealed the existence of a secret new weapon called “The Discombobulator” that was crucial to the capture of Venezuelan tyrant Nicolas Maduro.

The US president also divulged that recently-seized oil is currently being processed on US soil – without letting slip where the tankers are being held.

He bragged that his mysterious Discombobulator trump card crippled enemy defences as American helicopters swooped into Caracas on January 3.

Trump claimed the gadget “made [enemy] equipment not work,” allowing US troops to arrest Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores on federal drug and weapons charges without losing a single American life.

“I’m not allowed to talk about it,” Trump told The Post at the Oval Office.

“I would love to,” the president added, before confirming it was used in the covert operation.

NATO ATTACK

Trump risks allies’ fury as he claims NATO troops ‘stayed back from frontlines’

“They never got their rockets off. They had Russian and Chinese rockets, and they never got one off.

“We came in, they pressed buttons and nothing worked. They were all set for us.”

Trump made the remarks when asked about reports that the Biden administration had bought a pulsed energy weapon suspected of causing so-called Havana Syndrome.

Little is known about the device, but reports emerged after chilling eyewitness accounts from Venezuela describing Maduro’s gunmen collapsing, “bleeding through the nose” and vomiting blood.

One member of the ousted dictator’s security team later claimed “suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation.”

“The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones, flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react,” he said, adding that helicopters then appeared, “barely eight,” carrying about 20 US troops.

“The Discombobulator” was then turned directly on Maduro’s defenders.

“At one point, they launched something; I don’t know how to describe it. It was like a very intense sound wave,” the witness said.

“Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside.”

“We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood.

“We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon — or whatever it was.”

Trump answered the question about the device while posing next to the Nobel Peace Prize gifted to him by Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

The framed award sat perched beneath a golden eagle statue while he decides where to hang it in the White House.

The president also said that Venezuelan oil was currently being processed in Texas, but refused to give away the seized vessels’ locations.

“I’m not allowed to tell you,” he told The Post.

“But let’s put it this way, they don’t have any oil. We take the oil.”

He shared that it is currently being refined in Houston, while the US plans to sell 50 million barrels of the Venezuelan oil at a market price.

“We are running the oil in Venezuela,” Trump said.

“Venezuela is going to get some, and we’re going to get some.

“Then we have the big oil companies going in, and they’ll be taking so much oil that Venezuela will make more money than they’ve ever made before.”

The president met with oil chiefs in Washington earlier this month to draw up plans to rebuild and upgrade the Venezuelan oil industry.

Officials want to use the revenue from the seized tanker to fund the repair efforts.

Trump asked execs to invest an eye-watering $100billion in the project.

He assured the companies that they would be reimbursed for their trouble.

Maduro, 63, is now locked up in a Brooklyn federal jail awaiting trial on narcoterrorism charges, while his former vice president Delcy Rodriguez has taken over as Venezuela’s interim leader.

“We have a great relationship with the new president,” Trump said. “She’s been terrific.”
