The Masked Singer fans claim they’ve ‘figured out’ Can Of Worms is boyband singer and ITV star after spotting EIGHT tell-tale clues

The Masked Singer fans have claimed they’ve found eight tell-tale clues to figure out the identity of Can Of Worms.

Like all of the quirky characters on the ITV show, the figure has sparked frenzied speculation around their identity.

And ahead of Saturday’s show, fans are declaring they believe Can Of Worms is none other than JLS star and presenter Marvin Humes.

Taking to Reddit, one fan has compiled a list of reasons why they expect Marvin to be unmasked at some point this series.

The lines included those that featured in Can Of Worms’ VT, and how the clues point to Marvin, who shot to fame on The X Factor and is married to Rochelle Humes.

One of the clues was ‘naughty step,’ with the VT showing a yellow step with the phrase written across it in the garden.

In their post, the fan wrote: ‘Marvin has discussed using the ”naughty step” as a parenting technique for his children in interviews, and he and Rochelle have appeared on This Morning segments discussing parenting discipline.’

The fan then said the reference to being an ‘early bird’ and another to pastries and a bakery could be linked to Marvin and Rochelle’s work as hosts of This Morning, as pastries are typically enjoyed in the morning.

Can Of Worms had also previously used the phrase ‘written in the stars,’ and JLS collaborated on their song Eyes Wide Shut with Tinie Tempah, who famously recorded a hit of the same name.

The fan also shared in their post how there was a picture of presenters James May and Richard Hammond shown on-screen, writing: ‘These are Marvin Humes’ initials (M.H.). This is a classic Masked Singer ‘initials’ clue.’

Clues continued with a glimpse of a can of worms in a garden, with the fan stating the garden referenced the colour green, which is Marvin’s ‘designated colour for merchandise and branding’ in JLS.

These was also a reference to a zucchini at a trade show – which the fan claimed was a nod to Marvin hosting the 2016 BAFTA Children’s Awards, where one of the winning films that night was called My Life as a Courgette.

The final reference was made to something ‘running in the family’ – a remark the fan speculates could be referencing his JLS bandmates, who he calls ‘brothers’.

While some fans were quick to back the guess, others threw out some other names.

They said: ‘The JLS clues are obviously pointing people towards Marvin but, no, it’s JB. Can of Worms is most definitely JB Gill.

‘Genuinely, that’s the one I’m most certain of. The clues all point to his singer, presenting and gardening career;

‘I thought Reggie Yates for ‘Can of Worms.’ It sounds like him, but I’m not sure how some of clues add up.’

It comes after some very entertaining performances on Saturday night, Sloth and Gargoyle landed themselves in the bottom two.

Fighting for their place in the competition, Sloth performed a version of the 1979 song Flash Bang Wallop by Tommy Steele while Gargoyle gave their take on Bad Reputation by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Sadly it was Gargoyle who was sent home, with the judges guessing it could be Cindy Lauper, Joan Jett, Wendy James, Ruby Wax, or Fiona Bruce.

But they were all wrong, with Gargoyle finally being unmasked as Marcella Detroit from Shakespears Sister.

Viewers were in shock at the reveal, writing: ‘Marcella Detroit!! WOW! I wouldn’t have guessed her.’

‘The voice totally makes sense now! I knew I bl***y recognised it!’

‘Wow no wonder she can sing.’

‘MY MUM SAID MARCELLA! I had no idea, but she knew!!’

‘NO FRICKIN WAY.’

The Masked Singer viewers and judges were left stunned as Gargoyle was revealed as a legendary 90s pop star

Asked how she felt about leaving the competition, Marcella said: ‘I’m really sad to go. It’s been an incredible experience. Everyone has been so nice and so much fun. Very helpful, really kind.

‘I got the offer at the beginning of the summer and my husband is British and we have wanted to come back to England for quite some time. My husband has been wonderful in that he has come to live with me in America for a few decades, but he was missing his homeland and we’ve been saying after the pandemic happened, we really want to get back to England and spend some time there.

‘Then we got this opportunity, the universe just put it in our laps, we were like “oh my god, this is so perfect”. So that was one of the reasons and I also thought it would be so much fun.’
