After eleven episodes, nine banishments and seven murders, the most exciting ever Traitors finale will air tonight – and it is expected to be the most watched ever.
Traitors-Mania will sweep Britain as Stephen Libby, Rachel Duffy, James Baker, Faraaz Noor, Jade Scott, and Jack Butler go head to head to be crowned winner of the fourth series of the BBC One show and win the cash prize which has reached £76,750 so far.
More than 12 million fans are set to tune in to the 75-minute long show – many of whom will be enjoying the episode from the viewing parties which are being planned across Britain.
Pubs and bars in London are hosting sold out ticketed events, including nightclub Clapham Grand, food and booze hall Boxpark in both Croydon and Wembley, as well as the Exhibit Cinema in Balham, and the Picturehouse in Finsbury Park.
In Manchester, Fairfield Social Club will show the episode, with tickets costing £5, and those who turn up in a cloak or rocking a Claudia Winkelman fringe get a drink on the house.
Private viewing parties are also expected as the nation is hooked on the BBC show, with viewing figures for this series surpassing those for series one to three. On Wednesday it won a peak audience of 8.2million.
The Traitors ends in dramatic cliffhanger as Rachel or James will be banished before the five finalists are revealed
But not all of tonight’s remaining contestants will make it to the endgame.
During Thursday’s episode, viewers watched the most tense roundtable of the series unfold. The group’s vote on who to banish was split between Faithful James and Traitor Rachel, and their place in the endgame has been left up to fate.
The remaining six players were torn between voting for James or Rachel, and each received the same number of votes. The pair were then given the chance to make one final plea to get them one step closer to winning the show.
‘Don’t really have a lot of defense, ironically because I haven’t got anything to hide,’ James told the group.
He then turned to Rachel and said: ‘What swayed me voting for you tonight is surely you would have been murdered by now, that is bonkers, you have no heat on you.’
In her statement, Rachel told the group: ‘I’m trying to be the best Faithful in the game. I got a Traitor out.
‘I have tried as much as possible to encourage people to not be swayed and to think for themselves. I am a Faithful, and have done nothing but try to be the best Faithful I can be.’
Their speeches changed two players’ minds, but the vote was still tied, with host Claudia then announcing the banishment would be ‘in the hands of fate’, as she brought out the chests of chance.
The series will conclude on Friday, January 23, at 8:30pm on BBC One, where fans will be treated to a 75-minute episode
Each player chose a chest and opened them at the same time, with the episode ending at that point, leaving it on a huge cliffhanger.
Elsewhere, Roxy Wilson was brutally murdered, and Claudia shocked the group at breakfast by revealing Judy Wilson, who was the first to be banished, is her mother.
‘Do you feel sad for Roxy? You know who else will be sad for her? Her mum, Judy,’ the presenter revealed.
Later, during the physically gruelling mission, players had to climb a huge hill in the Scottish Highlands, and they added £10k to the prize pot, bringing the total to £76,750. Completing the mission also meant that they took away the Traitors last chance to murder.
The series will conclude on Friday, January 23, at 8:30pm on BBC One, where fans will be treated to a 75-minute episode.
