Men have been sharing the women’s clothing items that ‘give them the ick’ – and some things that made the list may come as a surprise.
An X post asking guys about the looks they ‘cannot stand to see on women’ went viral on Tuesday, with hordes replying with the fashion choices that turn them off.
From baggy jeans to yoga pants, many popular trends emerged as apparently undesirable to men.
‘Men, please name some clothing items you CANNOT STAND to see on women, like, gives you the instant ick. I’m tryna build a man repellent wardrobe,’ the initial post by an X user known as @_Sorrengailll read.
Immediately, many men joined the conversation and started listing the clothing pieces they were not fans of in the replies.
‘Overalls are a no-go,’ one wrote, while another said: ‘Halter neck dresses, see-through T-shirts.’
‘Snake skin print tops. They were all the rage before COVID. They were awful,’ penned someone else.

A popular X user known as @_Sorrengailll took to the platform on Tuesday to ask guys about the looks that they ‘cannot stand to see on women’
A fourth user stated that all ‘animal print’ was an ‘ick’ to them.
Multiple guys confessed they did not like women wearing men’s clothing, while some said they were not fans of ‘short skirts’ on ladies in public.
‘In my opinion, revealing clothes should be only meant for your special person and not for a public show,’ agreed a different user.
Dressy jumpsuits, crop tops, Ugg boots and bellbottom yoga pants were also mentioned.
‘Just wear normal leggings. Not only do bell bottom leggings ruin the shape that normal leggings are supposed to complement, they just look stupid,’ one guy wrote about yoga pants.
Someone else slammed ‘baggie jeans and sneakers,’ as well as ‘long leather coats.’
‘Please don’t wear thigh-high socks with a skirt, I hate that so much,’ confessed another user.
It comes months after a male content creator came under fire after he shared a video revealing what he thinks is the ‘hottest thing a girl can wear.’

Nicklaus Daniel went viral back in March 2025 after he told his TikTok followers that he believed he had discovered the key to a woman looking good – and it sparked a massive debate on the platform.
Daniel explained that he had seen a woman at a Celtics game wearing a slicked-back ponytail, big gold hoop earrings, a plain black top, an oversized team letterman’s jacket and Nike Air Jordan sneakers.
‘She was wearing this combo, which is the lethal combo,’ Daniel said. ‘She looked like a former player’s wife – she looked good.’
‘That combo right there – I don’t care who you are, you look hot,’ he promised. ‘Anybody that wears this looks good.’
While some loved his take, others slammed it and said they’d never ‘take fashion advice from a man.’
